Hibernation is a feature of windows OS which allows the contents of random access memory (RAM) to be written to the hard disk before powering off the computer. When the computer is started again, the computer reloads the content exactly as it was before shutdown.
Hibernate option is not visible by default on Windows 8, if we want this amazing feature we need to manually enable it. You can enable the hibernate feature in Windows 8 by following the step-by-step tutorial given below:

Open "Control Panel", then select "Power Options"
Next click on "Choose what the Power buttons do” option from the left sidebar.
Then click "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
Scroll down to the bottom, check the box “Hibernate” and click “Save Changes” button.
Now you are done, When you go to Power Options menu in your system you will see the Hibernate option.
