Windows Notepad is vary simple Text editor but really vary useful. But Notepad is really to simple with all most no feature, you can just create simple Text file with less formatting feature. But it is vary useful to write code and quickly take notes.
But there is no security features to protect your confidential file.
Notebook is similar to Windows Notepad Text editor but some extra features. It has all feature of windows Notepad with two more enhancement. It has feature of encrypt and protect you secret text file with password provided by you. Second extra feature is it has Auto Save feature that let you save your Text file automatically so if there is failure in your PC or power Failure your Text file save automatically. It protect you from losing your Data.
It saves your text file in PPTF format that protect your file with password provided by you. The format is not accessed by windows Notepad file.  To apply password go to Tools and click on Change password it will POP new window asking you OLD password and the new password. By default NoteBook uses 12345 password for new file, so enter 12345 in OLD password field and then enter your new password after that press OK. This password is for current file so if you open new document next time you have to provide new password for each new document in same manner.
